NEW AT MISSION OPC
1/24/08 Mission Trip Planning Underway
Members of Mission OPC as well as friends from other congregations will join together for an intergenerational mission trip this August on the Red Lake reservation. Randy Kreisel is heading up the planning and fundraising that must take place for the trip to besuccessful.
6/6/07 Publishing Committee to begin work
A group of volunteers from Mission OPC will be working to re-publish an out-of-print commentary on the Westminster Larger Catechism.
2/24/07 Morning Worship to Begin
Mission OPC will begin morning worship as of Sunday, March 4. The schedule is as follows: 10:30 a.m. Sunday School, 11:45 a.m. Worship, 6:00 p.m. evening worship. Fellowship time will be held following the morning worship service.
1/21/07 Service of Communion
We will celebrate the Lord's Supper at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, 2007. Following the worship service there will be a fellowship potluck dinner. There will not be Sunday School classes.
12/26/06 Dr. Phil Ryken coming to Mission OPC
Mission OPC will host a special event on Friday, January 26 with Dr. Philip Graham Ryken of Tenth Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia. Following a pizza supper at 6:00, Dr. Ryken will speak to our congregation and guests on the topic of urban ministry. Please join us for this time of fellowship and inspiration. RSVP to Pastor Shaw.
10/17/06 Teen Sunday School Classes to begin
Mission OPC is expanding its education offerings to include a Sunday School class for teens. The class will meet during regular study time after worship and fellowship, and will be based on the Westminster Shorter Catechism.
9/16/06 Ordination Exams Complete
Pastor Shaw successfully completed his exams for ordination in our presbytery at the Presbytery of the Midwest meeting held September 15 and 16 in Chicago. Next, the Presbytery of Ohio will release him to the Midwest, and we will hold a special Friday evening ordination ceremony and celebration on October 13 at 7:00 p.m.
7/3/06 New Website Launched
Mission OPC's Website has a new look and more information. It is our hope that with better organization and more to read our site will be even more useful to you.
6/15/06 Pastor Shaw to preach at July 16 worship service.
Pastor Shaw and his family will be arriving in Minnesota to move into their new home during the first week of July. His first opportunity to lead worship as our official organizing pastor will be Sunday, July 16. Please join us for this special milestone!
5/16/06 Rev. Heero Hacquebord to visit Mission OPC
Rev. Heero Hacquebord, OPC missionary to Ukraine, will visit Mission OPC along with his wife, Anna, and daughter, Juliette, on Sunday, June 4. He will deliver the sermon during worship, and will present on his service in Ukraine during study time following worship.
