Our Community

Our Community - Mission OPC

Local, regional, and global ministry

Small Groups

Our congregation currently has three small groups one in St. Paul in the Como Park neighborhood, another serving the north metro in Lino Lakes, and a seniors’ study that meets at the church.

Prayer Meeting

We meet as a group to pray for our congregation, our city, our nation, and our world on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the church building.  The church provides a simple meal and after dinner and fellowship we spend time in prayer.

English Language Lessons

This is an opportunity to serve and reach out to women from around the world. We need people to help in child care and in teaching simple English: conversation, Bible study and reading children’s books. Our group predominantly serves the wives of foreign students who are here pursuing advanced degrees. If you know of any adults who would like to advance in their knowledge of the English language and conversation invite them to come on Tuesdays from 10:00 – 11:30 am. Childcare is available. (Classes are held weekly from early September – early May.)

International Quilting Circle

Church members are encouraged to join us for fellowship and Bible study with each other and our international friends. You don’t have to be a quilter to attend you can bring a project from home or start a new one. Many of the quilts that we make are donated to a crisis pregnancy center in the north metro. Of course many keep their quilts as a memento of their time in the United States. We meet on Fridays at 10:00 and have a Bible study at 11:00 am.
(Classes are held weekly from early September – early May and once a month during the summer.)
