Reformation Celebrations in October

We will be celebrating the 501st anniversary of the Reformation with two of our favorite annual events:

Reformation Party
Friday, October 26, 7:00 PM
Bring a snack to share and a game to play and join in an evening of fellowship and learning. John Elliot will present a lesson on the Reformation, and will bring out the “Pin the 95 These on the Church Door.”

Joint Reformation Worship Service
Sunday, October 28, 5:00 PM
This year Mission is the host congregation, and we will be joined by Immanuel OPC (Andover, MN), Covenant OPC (Hammond, WI), and Redeemer RCUS (Golden Valley, MN). Rev. Shane Lems of Hammond will preach.

Mission hosting Bold North Conference on Reformed Theology

Mission will be hosting the first annual Bold North Conference on Reformed Theology on November 9 and 10, 2018. The theme is Beyond Five Points: Digging Deeper into Calvinism. Guest speakers are Dr. Alan Strange and Andrew Compton.

This year we celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the start of the Synod of Dordt, and dig deeper into the multifaceted biblical truths recovered by John Calvin and other reformers. What are its implications today on doctrine, worship, church government, and life?

REGISTRATION CLOSED

Special Guest September 16

Rev. Doug Clawson, the OPC’s associate general secretary for Foreign Missions, will be visiting our congregation on Sunday, September 16. We will hold a joint Sunday School session at 9:00 AM for all ages to hear his report on the work of the church throughout the world. He will then preach during our morning worship service at 10:30 AM. Pastor King will preach at the evening service at 5:00 PM.
